Updated to WP 4.5, Now! I can't upload images.

  • I updated to the latest version, now I can’t upload images, I thought it was server issue, I increased memory, execution time, input time, input vars, and nothing worked.

    Then I upload image to another website in the same server and it uploaded successfully. Then I updated to the WP 4.5 and same issue with the image upload.

    Please Help!

    Same issue for me. The upload bar reaches 100% but the preview never renders and I can’t insert the uploaded image. Tried various formats.

    De-activate all your plugins and choose 2016 as theme .

    And see if it solves the issue.

    If yes . Then try activating each plugin one by one and see which plugin is causing the issue .

    Sometimes with wp update . all plugins are not updated and this causes the issue in 99% of cases

    I have been having the same issue where I have put images into my post on the Android app, and they will not upload to the site. Then, tonight I was messing about with the Android app and realized that when I select a site to publish to, each site has a Settings menu. Under Settings, there is a maximum image width option. I scaled down from 2,000 to 800 just to try it out, and suddenly I can post loads of images to the site. I switched this setting in all my blogs and can happily upload photos to any of them. Just wanted to share!

    Open the WordPress for Android app. Select a site to work with. From the dashboard, select “Settings.” Maximum Image Width will appear as a drop down. Scale down to a small image width. I chose 800. Now create a new post and try including an image as normal. With any luck, you will be on your way to happiness!

    Try this:

    Go to your WPadmin/Settings/Media

    I think, in your system this option is thicked:
    “Organize my uploads into month- and year-based folders”

    Please, remove the thick from the box and Save. Try again the uploadin!

    Can you upload images now?
