Please try the latest version 1.1.6.

The cause of the problem was that Yahoo! (silently) stopped its API around November 1st. This plugin depended on the API before.

I also changed not to use php_intl compatible library which made it work better without php_intl extension.Because the compatible library was too large and a plugin size too large is not good for others who do not need the compatible library. If you do not like formatted currency notations, please consider to turn on php_intl extension.

Because of changes, there may be some glitches. I am happy to hear bug reports.

    Thanks

Ok. So I updated to the latest version 1.1.7
I am happy! It is working again!

A few minor points that may or may not be important for people:

Please note that this plugin does not seem to see prices in widgets for me. My front page is all Genesis widgets. https://www.topic-time.com/ja/

I use q translate for japanese/english translation. Auto Currency Converter shows the 円 on my Japanese page, but not on the English page (this is okay for me. My clients are Japanese).

I wish there were a space between the price and the conversion. This is also minor.
    $8.90(900円) –> $8.90 (900円)

Thank you for being so quick to fix this. I really do like how lightweight it is.
