Updated wordepress, menu scroll is gone

When trying add new product (woocommerce) the brands section and product category no longer have scroll bar – all brands and categories are listed making it a very very long page now in the admin section.
This has only occured after doing the latest wordpress update.
how do we change this behaviour back to the old way ? or even better, put search box here for brands and product categories?
