Is this plugin supported under WordPress 5.1.1? When I edit a page that I have used the content control, I non longer see the short code. It still seems to be working, but I can’t edit it and I can’t seem to add it to a new page. help?

    Thanks.

@ralnic – It should work fine, I’m not sure I understand what you mean. If you are using the new editor it may need to be converted to a shortcode/text block to see the code itself or edit the block in html. Not really sure how shortcodes are supposed to work in the new editor. They weren’t really a major consideration as shortcodes are the old way that the editor is trying to replace slowly.

The shortcodes though still work fine.

    Hope that helps.

Plugin Last updated 1 year ago? Is it all still working and safe?

@waynep16 – as you read in the post above yours which is less than a week old it should work just fine. No updates because none have been needed for the most part. Same for some of my other low/no maintenance plugins.

    Thank you Daniel!

I would make a suggestion taht the rules / restrictions are edible or at least viewable from the content pages / type themselves. Rather than manage on the restriction page and have to work out what’s doing what…

    Thanks

@waynep16 – Honestly that is where we started (these interfaces were created from Popup Maker, which came from Easy Modal ~9 years ago). in PM & EM we started with targeting popups to a page via that pages settings, this may sounds great, but its actually terrible. Replacing a popup that is manually assigned to 20 pages means manually editing all 20 pages and updating them. Not efficient at all, nor reliable in terms of being able to migrate data changes over time. I don’t want to have to write upgrade routines that loop over 1000 posts and update settings on each because they may or may not relate to a specicifc restriction.

its the way its meant to be after years of trial and error, can’t say we will be trying that one unfortunately.

If you are talking about the ability to restrict one page here and there all by itself maybe I could see adding a setting to do so, but even that is nearly pointless as 99% of our use cases are blocking sections of there site off from users, not one page here and there, plus we have the shortcodes which can be used in line.

That said i am gonna add an option to choose whether you are blocking/allowing the roles you chose.
