Updated wrong theme, now lost my website

  • Hi,

    last night I accidentally updated the wrong theme, now I have lost my original website layout and it looks terrible. I can’t remember the original theme, it website was set up by someone who is no longer available to ask.

    Is there any way of getting my original website back? I am not a techy person and get really confused by some of the language being used, I have tried to find a resolution but struggle to understand the terminology.

  • Hi Vicky,

    restoring the entire site from the latest full backup should bring the site back. In the unlikely event that you do not regularly backup your site, contact your hosting provider. Most, if not all are able to retrieve the site from their backups.
