    Hello @lryo,

    Thank you for contacting support.

The correct way to whitelist the REST API routes in Cloudflare is by using the following method: https://rankmath.com/kb/whitelist-rank-math-in-cloudflare/

We would also recommend checking if you are using any other firewall or security plugin on your website that could be causing this and also checking if this is happening for a particular user role other than the administrator.

If you are using another security plugin on your website, you might need to whitelist the API routes of our plugin in that plugin for all user roles that should be able to modify it.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.

    Hello,

I’ve just done this and I get the same error. I don’t have any other plugins.

    Hello @lryo,

Since you have already whitelisted the updateMeta route and it is still returning a 403 error, it means that it is getting blocked by some other firewall. Please check with your host if you have a server-side firewall that might be blocking the route.

Let us know how that goes. Looking forward to helping you.

We took a look and there was no blockage on the infrastructure side. Can you help me? The calculated results differ between the article editing page, which has a higher score, and the article summary page.

    Thank you for your help,

    Hello @lryo,

In this case, while saving the metadata, please keep the browser console open in the “Network” tab and see what the status code of the following route: https://www.yourdomain.com/wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateMeta?_locale=user

You can find the browser console in your browser following this guide: https://balsamiq.com/support/faqs/browserconsole/

If it’s returning any other value than a 200, there’s something wrong with the route and we would request you to get in touch with your hosting provider to make sure that REST APIs are not getting blocked.

However, if it returns 200 status code, then you can try to follow this guideline to check if any of your plugins/themes are conflicting with Rank Math: https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/

Regarding the discrepancy in SEO score, please head over to your WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Status & Tools > Database Tools, and from there click on the button “Recalculate Score”, and wait for it to process and see if that helps to resolve the issue: https://rankmath.com/kb/rank-math-status-and-tools/#recalculate-seo-score-for-posts

Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.
