Updates?

    Hi,

    since using child themes from child themes is not possible in wordpress and i want to change some php files from the parent theme (copying them to the folder of your child theme and editing them there), how do you update your theme? Will the complete folder (including my additional files) be deleted, or will just your files be updated?

    Very good question.

    Here’s what I would do:

    1. Use a custom CSS plugin for my CSS: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/simple-custom-css/

    2. Before updating, make a copy of my functions.php file and any custom page templates/other files I’ve added.

    3. Perform the update, and then re-add my own functions.php, and other files.
