Updates hang again

    On my prior version of WP and now with the new WP4.2.3 the update plugin function works fine until it starts wpSlimstat update then the website stays stuck in maintenance mode and the update fails to complete.

    The only way I’ve been able to fix is to rename the maintenance.php file to get access again. Disabling WPSlimStat doesn’t prevent the problem. Have not been able to update the plugin since 4.1.1. I’m deleting the plugin but thought the dev should know.

    This is the first time we hear about such a problem. Do your web server error logs contain any clues on why this might be happening?
