    Help!

I’m in charge (for wanting a better term) of the website for my film makers club site https://www.ovfm.org and this morning there was a notice for 2 updates – All in One SEO and Jetpack. I’ve updated these many times before without incident but today after the update the layout of the site changed and I don’t know how to get it back.

Also SEO has suddenly added itself to the toolbar at the top of the page which was never there before.

I’m afraid I’m not very tech savvy and our regular PC guy is away so can anyone please suggest a very simple way of getting the site layout back to how it was?

    Thanks.

  • What has changed? sorry but we didn’t know what it did look like, and looks ok in terms of layout – ie nothing broken.

I’d disable each in turn, and see which is causing the problem.

Presume the SEO at the top of the page is not an issue as such, just different, that’s what happens with updates, they add new stuff !

    Oops. Silly me.

It was based I believe on the Twenty 12 theme (I don’t know I didn’t set it up, I just handle the uploading of articles, etc) with the “Stickied posts” carousel image dead centre at the top. and the articles laid out three to a row underneath.

Actually looking yours is a “arras” theme, it might be a conflict between that and your plugins
Ok, so yes try disabling each of the plugins in turn to see if either fix.

    Fixed it thanks!!

It was the SEO update that was the problem. Will it be too much of a loss to not have it running to the site?

Depends if being near the top of google etc, is important to you.

If so then you could either contact the plugins author to say it’s not working – they might have many customers with the same issue, but unless they know, they’ll not fix it

    or

look for another SEO plugin – there are several out there
