• I recently auto updated to WordPress 3.5. I cannot post and I alter widgets; I do not have the Bulletproof on my blog. I removed all themes except the twenty ten/eleven/twelve. I also deleted all of my plugins except for Jetpack and Disqus. I still can’t post. Is there anyone who can help me. I’m not too tech savvy and was thinking of going back to 3.4 but I sont understand fully what to do.

  • You will need to use either an FTP program like FileZilla (you’ll also have to created an FTP account with your host).

    Or, you can use your hosts CPanel.

    Honestly.. if you’ve never done this before.. you might want to call them and have them help you set up and FTP account.

    Is it possible that WordPress will bring out an update which fixes this problem since so many of us have this issue?

    If what Josh suggested does not work go here, https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/troubleshooting-wordpress-35-master-list?replies=4 and work your way thru the suggestions.

    hy

    i have the same problem and i have add the line

    define('CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS', false);

    to my wp-config.php and it works.

    @seraph1976,

    Begin a new thread please. While your symptoms may seem similar… the root of the issue is probably very different.

    OOOPs. wordpress developers please look into the matter. I have deactivated all the plugins and returned to default theme. but it is not working.

    So I have to contact Bluehost and ask them to set up a FTP account. Will this be like a copy and paste type thing? I’m new at the coding stuff and, I don’t mean to be frank, but am totally frustrated. Is there going to be an update from WordPress in case I can’t figure out how to do this?

    https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Using_Your_Browser_to_Diagnose_JavaScript_Errors

    This is to test for javascript errors not to check your browser. It is very easy to do and it will help to identify what the problem is. I don’t think there will an update for this particular problem as it is plugin/theme based.

    Perfect kmessinger!! Thanks for that!!

    JOSH –

    Had 4 blogs down – Your Trick;

    define(‘CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS’, false);

    Fixed the issue – I can now see to edit posts, create new posts (could not write in the area) and now can again used the media button and featured item button – pops up window again!

    FIXED ALL my current issues so far since upgrade THANK YOU!

    And can I ask why and what this fix did? – I have 23 clients blogs to upgrade all with different plugins and custom themes, so I like to know what did I cut out or do. Thanks Again!

    As per the Forum Welcome, please post your own topic. Your problem – despite any similarity in symptoms – is likely to be completely different.

    Closing topic.
