Updates with CAU and WP5.5

    I have been using Companion Auto Update for some time now on all the websites I look after. Couldn’t be happier with the way it works and messages me when it does automatic updates. But, since WordPress 5.5 was released I now seem to be getting messages from wordpress about plugins being updated whereas when updates are actioned with CAU the update email actually states “updated with Companion Auto Update..” What is happening with these updates are there being done twice now? Please advise.

    Hi,

    it’s just the emails that are done twice. If you go the dashboard of this plugin and uncheck “Core notifications” you’ll stop recieving the one that WordPress sents and only get the one from this plugin.
