Updates work, but screen doesn’t refresh on completion

    Hi. Strange problem that I’ve tried to search for, but doesn’t seem common and the issue I have seems to present lots of unrelated topics.

    When I update WordPress from the DashBoard, the updates start, and it appears in the background complete but the update screen never refreshes at the end, and so I have to manually refresh it when I think it’s finished.

    I’m not having any updates fail, or any other issues, although once I refreshed too quickly and was left in maintenance mode so clearly this will happen unless I am careful. I don’t have any idea what could be causing this, it’s happened since I did a base install, and so I don’t think it’s related to any plug-in as it happens no matter which plug-in, or any other update gets applied. Can’t remember the last time it completed “properly”.

    The server it is on is very responsive and I’ve wondered if potentially this is the problem that the install is actually happening too quickly? Any pointers would be gratefully recevied.

    Have you installed any chrome extensions (assuming you use chrome)
    A chrome extension could be interfering? It’s happened to me before.
    If not, use chrome and use their element inspector to see what is happening when the redirect is issued…
