I have migrated a WooCommerce site from one host to another. New host provider did the migration and new site works perfectly. Was a carbon copy of the old site. However, a month has gone by, and the original site is still being used and has lots of new orders and existing orders have comments, different statuses, etc, etc. I have free UpdraftPlus on both sites. Can I (and is it sensible to) use UpdraftPlus to backup the original site, and then just restore these SQL tables to the new site to update it before going live? I have not tried to restore a UpdraftPlus backup from one site to another (even where both are near identical bar a few orders/customers).

    Hi,

UpdraftPlus free version would only backup the entire database and might affect some parts of your website. I would recommend using a Woocommerce plugin for importing/exporting your data.

    Thanks,
