• When I select general settings > general > Administration Email Address > enter a new email > select save changes > “There is a pending change of the admin email to [new email]” shows at the bottom. However, the email is never received. It has been this way for the past two years. The email never came. There was only one ticket I saw submitted for this issue over a year ago which promised an update was coming. I tried to change the email again today and it was the same result as I have been getting for the past years. Nothing.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Can your website use email at all? E.g. if you create a new user and want to send him the access via e-mail? If not, then it’s a problem with your web hosting (where your WordPress is located) and/or your email hosting. You could contact the support of your hoster or use a SMTP plugin. E.g. this one: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-mail-smtp/

You can also change the email address directly in the database. If you have a phpmyadmin in your hosting (or any other graphical interface for it) you will find a record with the option_name “admin_email” in the options table. There at option_value you can enter the email. The change will take effect immediately. If you don’t find it, the support of your hoster can help you.
