Updating crashes whole network

Hi,
since at least one week when I update your plugin the whole network of subsites crashes with a 500 server error. Frontend and backend of every site and subsite is no more accessible.
The only way to bring the sites back online is to disable your plugin via ftp (changing folder name).

This happened to three different networks in different servers, last time today (so the problem is present in the current version and for different setups).
