Updating CSS for plugins – best practise?

  • I’m making some changes to the CSS of a plugin I am working with (Foodpress).

    I am up to speed with using a child theme to future proof against any theme updates, but should I be doing something similar to future proof my plugin? Am I going to lose changes once the plugin is updated?

    Would be very grateful for some pointers!
