Updating event blanks box score

I think I am confusing it with what I want to do.

An event may have 50 or more participants from several clubs doing a Marathon Kayak / canoe race. We have the paddle (Player) Time (free field) laps, distance portages (free field) Class (free Field)

We tried auto import and it just makes club vs club vs club which is a small problem but it was just a rename of the event. Being able to import the race name rather than club the person is associated with would be useful.

Update: I just added a featured image and I lost all the data.

Does the event need to have the teams – select players added somehow?
can you have an event then import csv or results into the event?

Do we need to create a module for events like this?

It’s not a team vs team it’s a person vs many people like a running marathon. People can use different boats so we need to display this.

After a lot of testing, it seems any event imported using the SportsPress Events (CSV) tool is the problem. I do not understand why. I think it is because it does not add the results – team which I didn’t think we need but obviously do.

I think I will need 2 columns of paddlers (players) since they are their own team.

No, that didn’t work. It all vanished when we updated the event ??

I have found using quick edit also lost all the data from the admin event pages

I’m confused about the email comment but I have moved on ??

Can you share what configuration you have? I see that you are using position, Class, Paddler, Time, boat. Are these performances? Some screenshots will surely help ??

boat was just something I tried to see if I could get it to work

This page works ok but is still not perfect but I am able to live with it possibly

The problem is as soon as I click update all the results vanish

The next step is to have a sprint regatta and there are 90 races in 1 day and it goes over 3 days. It gets quite complicated. We want to have each person with a profile but put 4 together in a boat and track their time by who they were within their profile. I think this is unachievable without some big changes. If I was able to get pro and see something like this built I would be happy to help with some of the costs.
