    Hello,

I have used this plugin for a couple of other webinars we had in the past, but now it is not working after setting up a new webinar. When trying to publish the page there is a “Updating failed. The response is not a valid JSON response.” error at the top.

I have tried the following shortocodes but none work:

    [gotowebinar-reg]
[gotowebinar-reg key=”8045952727322918157”] (the URL in GoToWebinar)
[gotowebinar-reg key=”904-067-027”] (the Webinar ID in GoToWebinar)

    I used https://goto-developer.logmeininc.com/ method. In Scopes I selected 2 options: (1) Profile > Get user information, (2) GoToMeeting,GoToWebinar,or GoToTraining

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @adamwrightdatamark,

Are you using a page builder to publish the page? And if so what one? Have you tried using the classic WordPress editor and publishing the page?

    Thanks,

    Hi,

We are using the default Gutenberg editor with a custom theme. I activated the Twenty Twenty One theme and it still gave the same error.

Should the short code be added in a paragraph or HTML block or does it not matter?

    Thank you.

    Hi @adamwrightdatamark,

It should probably be entered in a shortcode block. But I have not done extensive testing with Gutenberg. As I said, try with the classic editor to see if that works, just so we both know that the issue is specific to Gutenberg and not something else entirely.

    Thanks,

I activated the Disabled Gutenberg plugin and the page is able to save now without the JSON error, but I get these messages on the live page instead of the form:

If using [gotowebinar-reg]: “Thanks for using WP GoToWebinar. The shortcode has been implemented correctly. This page is required if you wish to display GoToWebinar registration forms on your own website. However this page requires a parameter at the end of the URL when accessed so the page knows what registration form to display for a given webinar. So on your upcoming webinars display when you click on a register link it will go to this page and send a parameter to it so that page knows what registration form to display. So if you were expecting a form here don’t worry everything is working fine.”

“The webinar either no longer exists or an error has occured.” if I use either of these:
[gotowebinar-reg key=”8045952727322918157”] (the URL in GoToWebinar)
[gotowebinar-reg key=”904-067-027”] (the Webinar ID in GoToWebinar)

Hi again, I got it. I needed to add ‘key=”upcoming”‘ to the shortcode so that it is [gotowebinar-reg key=”upcoming”] . Thank you.
