Hi, I am not sure if this question was already answered here.

When I try to put the [booking-form] shortcode to the page, it raises ‘Updating Failed’ error.

When I also try to add the block using the Booking form block, it shows an error message as:
“Error loading block: The response is not a valid JSON response.” and also shows ‘Updating Failed’ error when publishing the page.

I am new to wordpress and not sure what I am doing wrong here.
I am using the Gutenberg editor with the latest version of WordPress.

    Thank you.

    Hello @itmjlee,

Although it says publishing failed, does the form/block appear on the frontend?

    Hello, thanks for the update.

Yes the form does show on the front end and the shortcode stays on the page when I come back to the page editor. However, it raises the same error again while I try to update the page while having the short code.

    Hello @itmjlee,

The good thing is that your changes get saved and you can make progress on your site.

The dev team has been notified about this issue and are looking into it.
We will update you if we have any further news.

Do you have the Classic Editor plugin installed? If you add the shortcode to a page with the classic editor enabled, does it still have problems saving, or is it only with Gutenberg? It should work fine either way, but I’m just wondering if it’s something specifically with Gutenberg.

Also, when did this start happening? Did it ever save correctly for you?

This error happened straight after I activated the plugin and started using it.

I have just installed the Classic Editor to test out if the plugin with the shortcode works there. And yes, the page updated successfully without the ‘Updating Failed’ error with the Classic Editor enabled.

Thanks everyone. I will ignore the fail error for now and wait for the upcoming updates.

Is there a known fix to get a shortcode working with Glutenberg? I have a similar issue and would like to fix my short code if possible so it is compatible with Glutenberg.
