If from 1.2, it’s recommend you upgrade to 1.5, and then to 2.

I typically use Fantastico to install or upgrade WP – but that always has the latest version. Would things backfire if I just used that to do the upgrade? If so, how do I upgrade in stages?

1. If you have 1.2.x you can NOT update directly to 2.0.3.
2. Usually, Fantastico never has the latest…
3. Do NOT do it with Fantastico; you have to proceed manually, as suggested above.
