UPDATING GETS YOU LOCKED OUT

  • DO NOT UPGRADE TO iTHEMES without backing up your current working version of Better WP Security and reading the latest reviews.

    I’ve never had a problem with this plugin before so made the big mistake of not checking the reviews first. As soon as I upgraded and clicked “Secure your site now”, I was automatically logged out. The log-in screen reappeared and I couldn’t log back in. Had to get into the back end, delete the plugin and ftp my backup copy of Better WP Security 3.5.5. Everything working nicely now. Think I’ll be looking for an alternate plugin now.
