updating global disabled

  • There is a critical error said updating globally disabled.
    I had added the following code to the wp-config.php but it still not works.

    define( ‘AUTOMATIC_UPDATER_DISABLED’, false );
define( ‘WP_AUTO_UPDATE_CORE’, true );

    Does anyone help me?

    Hi,

    Are you using any security plugins?
    Have you checked to make sure the line “AUTOMATIC_UPDATER_DISABLED” isn’t anywhere else in the wp-config file?

    I am using siteground hosting,it seems like they have auto update service.

    Does your plugin conficts with that?

    That might be what’s causing the issues, I’d suggest asking siteground. If they say it’s not their doing please let me know and I’ll have a further look at it ??
