Updating old posts are showing up as comments

    So I went back to some of my older blog posts, so that I could link to other posts that I have made after those.

    So when I am in my WordPress dashboard, and I add a few sentences, and then click update post. That sentence gets added as a new comment.

    Its not a huge problem, but a bit annoying. Could it be a bug or something? Perhaps something I’m doing wrong? Perhaps something is wrong with my CSS?

    Im definitely not an advanced user, so please be specific with solutions, or if you need more information.

  • I think what you are experiencing is whats called trackbacks or pingbacks. Since you are referencing another article on your site, it will pingback to the article that referenced it. You can turn off trackbacks by going to Settings > Discussion > Default article settings and uncheck the option Allow link notifications from other blogs (pingbacks and trackbacks) on new articles

    Ok yes, I think that worked. I tested ot out by changing a post I hadnt touched yet. I didn’t have the previous problem
