Updating Perma Links breaks images

It appears you’re hosting on Windows. (Bad choice, IMHO.)

You’ll need to do stuff in webmatrix to compensate for Windows not using .htaccess

Those two links are *all* I now about hosting WP on Windows. ?? I’m strictly a Linux guy.

Christi, I had this issue in the past and solved it. Make sure your image URL is calling in the home page URL through bloginfo(‘home_url’) which can load the main URL. What may be happening is that you have a relative URL for your images, so adding bloginfo(‘home_url’) will load the images from the home page URL and then you can add the relative link like this:

echo bloginfo('home_url') . '/wp-content/uploads/2016/6';
?>

Of course, you need to change the desired year and month.

When you have permalinks turned on, bloginfo will add the correct URL.

No luck with everything I’ve tried. Any other suggestions? I tried and changed the permalinks to month and year hoping this would work since I have 3 other sites working that use this? What am I missing?
