Updating PHP

  • Can someone tell me how to update my localhost PHP?

    I’m new to wordpress & PHP. I’ve been working on a site (not live) created by a third party and I;ve come unstuck, now that I need to update my PHP.

    I’ve read around the net, but I’m finding no basic information. Any help woul dbe appreciated.
