You need to install PHP 7.4, replacing 7.3. How you do that depends on your operating system and web stack. Which OS? Whick web stack? Are you the administrator of this server?

    Hi Steve
I am running a windows 2016 server I am an administrator of the server
I installed wordpress locally myself last year.
Just recently updated it manually to the latest version 5.6.1
I have downloaded and unpacked PHP version 7.4.15 and it is saved in the same folder as version 7.3.12
Not sure what you mean by Webstack

When I got to PHP website it’s instructions are for running an IIS server.

Someplace in the web configuration (maybe .htaccess?) you’re telling the web server which version of PHP to use. If 7.4 is installed, then look for a file that mentions 7.3 and update it. I’m not a Windows guy, so maybe someone who is can give you better instructions.

What web server software do you use? Apache? IIS? nginx? You need to know what the webserver is in order to configure it.
