Updating plugin breaks website

    Hello, after updating the plugin it is throwing an error and breaking the site layout (not loading certain CSS elements). It is also showing the following error where the widget should load:

    ERROR

    Could not download the template for the widget.
    Please reload the page.
    If the problem persists, please write an email to [email protected].

    the issue persists regardless of browser, or private browser mode.

    There is no cache issues either as there is none enabled on the server-side or in wordpress.
