Updating plugin past 4.0.22. issues

    On this site im working on, they have used permission press and capabilities, with custom roles and capabilities to control whether the specific user role can edit a post type or not. When updating above 4.0.22 the user role ends up not allowing the user to edit their designated post. The permissions are set via the post specific permissions settings on the post edit page.

    Updating completely breaks this.

    We did not face this issue on our latest version 4.0.26

    If you still face any issue, please update it to latest version, and share a screenshot of your Permissions and Capabilities configuration so we could check why it happens.
