    Can’t get the plugin to update. I keep getting this error:

    The update process is starting. This process may take a while on some hosts, so please be patient.

    An error occurred while updating Yoast SEO: The package could not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature

  • Hi, This error typically occurs when the plugin could not be extracted from the zip archive during the installation process. Can you please check that your web server has available space on the where WordPress is installed and that you’re not running into quota issues (if applicable)? If you are not sure, your host provider can help.

    In addition, please be sure that your plugin directory (including all subdirectories) are writeable by checking it over FTP. If you don’t know how to check or change permissions, please contact your web host for assistance.

    Bingo! My apologies, I should have checked the quota before sending the ticket. Thanks for the quick answer.

    then I update Yost plugin than any effect on my website design and ON page SEO please elaborate
