Updating shortcode for namaste to-do

I am trying to include the individual “lesson” to-do’s inside the “course” to-do’s.

I have found the code inside the filepath:
Namaste-lms/controllers/shortcodes.php

I was curious if I could get any insight to how to access the child “lessons” for a course?

If I removed the “course” portion of the code and replaced it with the “lesson” portion it is still only checking if the “course” has been completed (viewed). I would really like to iterate through each “lesson” in order to display assignments/tests that need to be completed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
