Updating theme from 3.0.4 to 3.4

  • Hi guys,

    I have wordpress 3.0.4 with custom theme. I would like to update to WP 3.4 however I am not sure what should I do with this theme. Are there some instructions how to update custom styles, or log of all edits in styles since 3.0.4 ?

  • Mmmm I’m not sure if where the list of all the changes are. I’m sure it’s filled somewhere, but I can’t imagine that the changes would be that great from 3.0.4 to 3.4.2

    What I would do is make a copy of the site and db on my localhost, turn WP_debug on and go through the upgrade and see if anything breaks. The debug report should let you know what functions in your theme are deprecated.

    Hi, thanks for the reply.

    Actually I finally found out the solution which should be fine. I have compared 3.0.4 default WP theme with the newest one, and then looked into files of custom theme and updated it. This custom theme has only 7 or 8 html files, it is not the whole theme, so it was pretty easy. Thanks anyway ??
