    Hello,

I’ve recently updated to WP 6.4-RC1 using your plugin, but then, after disabling it and heading to the WordPress Updates screen in the admin the update button says “Update to latest 6.5 nightly” instead of “Update to latest 6.4 nightly”. This didn’t happen before. When you updated to a RC version, the button only allowed you to update to nightlies and RCs in the same version.

Has the plugin changed in a recent update?

This happens after the RC when SVN is branched and the next alpha is opened. If you switch to point releases you will be back to 6.4

I activated the plugin again and switched to point releases and then the label of the update button becomes “Update to latest 6.3”. If I deactivate the plugin, then the label of the update button is “Update to latest 6.5 nightly”. Right now, there’s no way to stay in the 6.4 channel, to get the next 6.4 RCs and final.

Re-install latest 6.3.x. Then make sure Beta Tester settings are Bleeding edge and beta/RC or just RC. You should see an update for 6.4-RC1. Update. Next update should show for RC2.

Is it possible you had settings for Bleeding Edge and nightlies? That’s how you would get to 6.5-alpha.

I did what you told me (Bleeding edge and just RC) and updated to 6.4-RC1. No issues here, apparently. But as soon as I disable the plugin, the update button is set to update to 6.5 nightly. Now I have to leave the plugin enabled to be able to stay in the 6.4 channel, which didn’t happen before. ??

This issue is time limited as it only happens between RC1 and the release. Sorry, we can only parse the API responses.
