Updating to the current WordPress version

    Can I update to the current WordPress version, 4.5.3 without losing the custom changes I made to my custom theme.

    Theme:Zenoval Custom Template

    I was told not to update my theme, or I’d lose those changes. Does that work the same for updating WordPress versions as well?

  • A WordPress update will not touch your theme. Whether your non-WPORG theme will work with the current version of WordPress is a question you will need to ask of the theme’s developer.
