    Ah! So you are not running WordPress 4.2 after all. Unfortunately, all recent versions of Media Credit require at least WordPress 4.2 – that’s probably the reason why you didn’t get an upgrade notice automatically.

    The latest version that works on 4.1.x is Media Credit 2.4.1. However, I’d recommend you update to a more recent version of WordPress (preferably 4.3 or the upcoming 4.4).
