Updating to version 5.3 seemed to reset start/end times for existing poll

  • When I upgraded from version 5.2 to 5.3, the start and end date for my one existing poll were reset to 1/1/1970.

    Here are the steps I took:
    1. Disable 5.2 plugin
    2. Delete yop-poll folder
    3. Replace yop-poll folder with version 5.3
    4. Enable plugin in dashboard

    Is this expected behavior?

    We followed the same steps you listed but everything went well on our test.

    Was there another step you took?

    Please let us know.

    Also, for updating to latest version you only need to click on Update link and wordpress will take care of everything.

    I don’t believe I took any other steps, but I could be mistaken.

    The way we have our test servers set up doesn’t allow us to use the Update link for updating plugins, which is why I followed the steps that I did.

    The same happened to me, just like last time I upgraded.

    YOP Team helped me out last time, and hopefully the YOP Team, will find a more stable solution this time.
