Updating to WordPress

    I have a news website by PhP coding. Now I want to convert to WordPress and install WordPress themes.

    1- What is the process?

    2- Will my archives of my current website be protected? How can I retain those old news in the same category, for instance, whilst installing WordPress for the first time on my domain?
