Apologies if this has been posted and if it’s been resolved. I haven’t updated for a few versions of YASR for a bit, because the last time I did, it wiped up my custom CSS/images.

I’m currently using my own images for the star rating displayed on the WordPress entry, as well as on the tool bar for adding new entries. The latter isn’t super important, just nice, but obviously the former *is* important, as I customized it for a reason.

I’ve avoided updating YASR since the last time I did, it wiped up the custom CSS code for it as well as the images. I had backups and was able to fix it quickly, but a few days later, another YASR update was put out and not wanting to have to fix it again, I stopped updating it.

I’d like to update it though, I’m currently running 0.6.5 of YASR while it’s up to 0.7.9 but I’m leery since I’m not sure if it’s going to wipe out the custom images again.

Is there a way to either request that it *not* do this, or is there a setting that I need to look for to prevent this from happening in the future? I’m very comfortable working with custom CSS or javascript or any code, so pointing me in the direction of it would be great.

Just save all your css rules insde the tab “Styles” in the yasr settings ??

You really need to update, I made many bugfixes since.

But you can’t do this directly: you first need to deactivate 0.6.5, then dowload and activate version 0.7.0 and only later you can update from your dashboard.

    Best,

Thanks! It took me a bit to find the Styles tab but I was able to override all the classes using star.png. I had to move the image I wanted outside of the main YASR director and I can’t seem to override the YASR button the toolbar (star_tiny.png), but both small details.

I have updated it finally and it works fine for the front-end. Thank you!
