Updating WordPress to 3.2.1

Hi,

I was trying to update wordpress today and the following error appeared:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function update_core() in /home/ukbuild/public_html/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-upgrader.php on line 906

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
