Updraft disappeared, re-installation not possible

    We were moving houses and I did not access our website for a while. Today I realised that Updraft is not among installed plugins. So suprised how could it just uninstall by itself (nobody else is managing the website), I went to the plugin page and tried to install it again.

    However, the installation fail every time stating that the files already exist.

    How to solve this?

    Hi,

    It is likely that an update to the plugin failed, leaving UpdraftPlus broken.
    You will need to access your site via FTP or your hosts’ filemanager, and navigate to ‘wp-content/plugins’. There, you should see a directory named ‘updraftplus’. Delete that directory.

    You should then be able to install the plugin as normal.
