Updraft killing all resources

    Hi, been having a problem with updraft for a while now, tried to uninstall it but it bombs the site. Have left it to keep site going now, but it has scheduled backups of wich non have completed. The end result is that it has now used all the memory allocation for the site and the site has crashed. Cleared all plugins and tried to activate one at a time, but gets to a point and bombs the site….no dashboard access etc. Please advise how i can stop / clear the processes running / remove updraft and get my site up again with all the other plugins active.

    I’m not entirely clear, but it looks like you’re looking for guidance on how to de-activate a WordPress plugin when the site is not active?

    Sorry if I don’t seem clear. To activate to plugin via dashboard or ftp is not the issue. For the last month or so we have had a probllem with updraft and deactivated it….the result is due to some hooks it crashed our site. We then activated it again to keep site alive, but now has just created backup after backup without 1 completing. We are trying to stop all those proceses and or remove updraft from our site. Nothing we doing is working. Have renamed updraft plugin folder yesterday already with no result. We have about 50% of our plugins activated, but cannot get anymore actvated without site crash. So the question is where can we go force backup process stop / remove to get our site resources back.

    Hi Strawberry1,

    To kill a running process on a Windows server, you use the Windows Task Manager. To kill a running process on a POSIX-based server, you use the “kill” command.
