On the settings page, I selected email for my off-site storage. There is a notice that says it will send the backups to my admin address. I don’t know why I haven’t checked it before, but today I realized that I have not been getting the backups. The are online at my host.

I am preparing to develop a new site at another host and I want to upload there just the posts backup.

I’ll be fine if I can just get the backups to actually go to my email.

    Hi,

The facility to send the backup itself by email is only useful if you’re sure that your backups are small enough to not be rejected by your email server. Can you check and make sure that your email server can handle the backup file size?

Also, by default, UpdraftPlus saves the backups on your local server.

I think I found where the problem might be. The last back up has a note that it is incomplete. I looked at the log file for information. At the very end it says that an email will not be sent because the user has not set up an email. And yet on the settings page where I ask for copies of backups to be sent by email, there is a notation that it will be sent automatically to the site admin’s email address. So there seems to be a conflict here. How do I figure what happened and how to fix it?

    Hi,

    Apologies for the late reply.

Please could you send us a copy of the latest full backup log?
This can be found in the UpdraftPlus Existing Backups tab.
The contents will be too long to post here directly, but you can use an online service such as Dropbox or Pastebin, and post the link here.
