    Since updating to the latest version today, Updraft will not complete a backup. The backup starts then goes to last activity 59s, then next resumption: 1 (after 225s). The counter counts down to zero and then goes negative and just keeps going and going and never stops. What can I do to resolve this please?

    Hi,

    Please could you send us a copy of the latest full backup log?
    This can be found in the UpdraftPlus Existing Backups tab.
    Please copy the contents into an online service such as Dropbox or Pastebin, and post the link here.

    Hi,

    Thanks for sending the backup log.

    The log shows that the backup gets killed off while backing up the “database” component of your website. The most common reason for this is when the server has reached the resource limit.

    To resolve, please ask your hosts/server admin to increase the limit (I/O limit, maximum_execution_timeout and site memory) or ask them to investigate their PHP error logs. These logs should contain more information on the exact issue that is causing the backup process to halt.

    I have contacted my host and they say they have recently moved my website to a different server. This is there reply, I haven’t got a clue what this means.

    The issue you are experiencing with Updraft Backups seems to be correlated to cron jobs no longer running on the Apache Server.

    Unfortunately if you are using the cron jobs to perform the backups, this will no longer work as cron jobs are disabled on the Shared Hosting Platform.
