    I’ve been using UpdraftPlus for several months without a problem, but the backups of my www.ads-software.com site have repeatedly failed for the last two days. This is the message I get: “The backup attempt has finished, apparently unsuccessfully.” Here’s a link to the log file for the most recent failed backup: https://pastebin.com/GR3HmeDw

    The log shows:
    “0169.754 (0) Dropbox: exception (Dropbox_BadRequestException) occurred whilst getting account info: Error in call to API function “users/get_space_usage”: request body: could not decode input as JSON”

    Please can you re-authenticate your Dropbox remote storage again? Then run a test backup?

    Is it the same issue?

    And also could you try to reduce the backup archive split size. This will split the backup into smaller, more manageable files.

    To do this, open the ‘expert settings’ section of the UpdraftPlus Settings tab, and find the ‘split backups every’ option. Set this to 25mb, save your settings and run a new process.

    If the issue persists, please ask your hosts/server admin to investigate their PHP error logs. These logs should contain more information on the exact issue that is causing the backup process to halt.

    I had already re-authenticated with Dropbox before I did that failed backup, so re-authentication wasn’t the issue. However, I just set the “split backups every” option to 25 mg, and the backup succeeded. Thanks for all your help.
