UpdraftPlus doesn’t backup Cookie banner settings

    Hello,

    Whenever we backup and restore with UpdraftPlus the Cookie banner is restored with its default look. It loses all its customized General settings and Opt-in settings. All other settings not related to the Cookie banner are still intact though.

    Why is that? Are they saved in a place that UpdraftPlus doesn’t have access to?

    UpdraftPlus works great with absolutely everything else on our site.

    Hi @vladc-1,

    I just tried without issues. Can you try downloading the database from Updraft you’re trying to restore and find the banner settings in this file. Search for “cmplz_cookiebanners` VALUES”

    This table should have all settings.

    Hi @aahulsebos,

    I’ve just checked the database file and it doesn’t have the right settings in ‘cmplz_cookiebanners’. I’ve also searched for the custom “cookie message” I’ve put and the custom “Accept all” text and they are not present.

    This is very weird as the rest of the settings are always alright after restore.

    Hi @vladc-1,

    That at least explains why. When I did a test, I didn’t change any settings, have you made any edits during the back-up process? For example limiting the amount of tables saved, or denying some plugins to be restored?

    Otherwise, this might be a support question for Updraft, as we do not exclude anything for Updraft and the tables can be backed-up and restored.
