    Hi,

I’m using Updraftplus free version latest release.

Since several days, the scheduled backups properly saves db and files on my server, but ends with no files uploaded on my dropbox and an error in log file:
    * Dropbox: Erreur Dropbox/Curl?: error code: 1006 (Dropbox_Exception) (line: 242, file: /home/…/wp-content/plugins/updraftplus/includes/Dropbox2/OAuth/Consumer/Curl.php)
    * Dropbox: erreur? : Vous semblez ne pas être authentifié sur Dropbox (voir fichier journal pour plus d’infos)

When triggered manually from the backend, the backup works fine both on the server side and the dropbox side.

What I already did with no success:
    – deleted and reinstalled the plugin
    – deleted all setup from the advanced tools panel
    – removed the dropbox authentication
    – re-authenticated my dropbox account

Would you have any advise on what could be wrong? Thanks for your help on that!

    Hi,

Please could you send us a copy of the log for the scheduled backup?
This can be found in the UpdraftPlus Existing Backups tab.
The contents will be too long to post here directly, but you can use an online service such as Dropbox or Pastebin, and post the link here.

    Regards,
    Bryle

    Hi Olivier,

The log says that the plugin is getting the CURL Error Code 1006. This happens mainly due to server firewall restrictions.

Kindly, disable your server firewall security feature or Can you please contact to your hosting support for it?

    Thanks,
    Prashant

    Hi Prashant,

Thanks for your answer. There is no firewall activated on my hosting server side. But I’m using the Wordfence plugin with firewall activated.

Before to test with Wordfence firewall deactivated, I’ve checked the option “use server SSL certificates” in the Advanced Setups. Will see if this works for the next scheduled backup…

    Best,

    Hi Olivier,

Can you let us know if the workaround work for you? So I can ask our developers if there is any other way to fix the issue.

    Thanks,
    Bryle

    Hi Bryle,

Unfortunately this workaround did not work.

I don’t feel confortable with deactivating the wordfence security plugin, so if you have another way to make it work, I would be happy ??

    Best,

    Olivier

    Hi,

I think the new “expiring token” on the Dropbox side could explain the issue: https://www.dropboxforum.com/t5/Dropbox-API-Support-Feedback/Non-expiring-token-kept-on-changing/td-p/569119

For your information, I’ve also tested the BackupGuard plugin and encountered the same kind of issue at the time of Dropbox upload…

    Thanks for the information.

I will send it over to our developers and see if they can do something about it.
