Upgrade to 3.0.1

  • Hello,

    I’ve been trying to upgrade my blog to 3.0.1, in the interface so far it says:

    Downloading update from https://www.ads-software.com/wordpress-3.0.1.zip.
    Unpacking the update.
    Verifying the unpacked files…
    Installing the latest version…

    But when I try to access the site, here is what is says:


    Fatal error: Cannot redeclare the_content_rss() (previously declared in /homez.154/chemindeb/www/wp-includes/feed.php:162) in /homez.154/chemindeb/www/wp-includes/deprecated.php on line 1739

    What did I do wrong? How can I fix this?

    Try resetting your plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

    If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via FTP or SFTP, navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename everything except the /twentyten/ directory. This will force the Twenty Ten theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue.
