Upgrade Automatically (plugins) Not Working

  • I’m having trouble automatically upgrading plugins that have been (obviously) updated.

    When I click, all I get is the WP backend with a blank page.

    I’m using a brand new WP install and a new domain.

    Any ideas on what’s going wrong?

  • There could be a variety of reasons such as:
    – compatibility problem with another plugin – it happened to me. disable all plugins; you could still upgrade those plugins even when disabled.
    – plus forum search has this thread about the same problem (although not blank pages, you could find a possible answer here)
