Running WordPress 2.7 on five different blogs with different hosting services. Upgrade Automatically process shows the following message:

    Downloading update from https://www.ads-software.com/wordpress-2.7.1.zip

This is all I see for any length of time. Web servers shows an attempt to download zip file but shows file size as 0kb.

Did have the “WordPress Automatic Upgrade” plug in (version 1.2.2) but this plug-in has not worked since 2.7 was released. Deactivated plug-in and uninstalled and still can not get the Upgrade Automatically process to complete.

Any suggestions or am I stuck on manual upgrades?

I’m having the same problem, but am also having it with automatic install of plug-ins.

    Can you do auto-plug-in installs?

The plug in feature was working fine up until two days ago, now it acts the same way that the auto-upgrade does. I am still running 2.7.0 so I know that isn’t the issue.

I have not made any changes to my server, so that doesn’t seem to be the problem either.

If I view my server after initiating the auto install/upgrade I can see a file name show up, but it has a size of zero and eventually WP returns an error and aborts.

    Any ideas…anyone?

I can automatically upgrade plug-ins just fine.

1.) From the jumpside, the “install now” function for the plugins did not work and still does not accross 25 WP installations I have. I asked about this but got no response
2.) Now the auto upgrade does not work (2.71) and does the same think as the auto plugin install, it says unpacking zip, done, then nothing.

    WASSUP with this?
