• I recently performed an autmatic upgrade to 2.9.2, and I am now unable to access my login page for my WP site. When I try to go in to change permissios using FileZilla or my hosting company’s FTP manager I get a message saying “SITE CHMOD command failed” and no permissions changes are made. It seems that the upgrade process has set some kind of restrictions on changing permissions. I have done this before with previous upgrade versions of WP without problems. Can anyone offer any suggestions? Thanks.

  • wordpress doesn’t do that at all
more likely your hosting company has a problem with the ftp servers or you’re out of space
contact them and ask them to look into it

    I actually have the same problem with 2.9.2 . . . I can’t login. Weird.
