When 2.3.1 was released I was prompted with a link from my Dashboard to upgrade.

I downloaded, uploaded and then headed to the upgrade.php page which told me everything was set.

However, when I login it still asks me to upgrade. Not only this but my Stats page will not load at all and instead states:

“You are not a member of this blog.

If you have just installed the Automattic Stats plugin, this error probably appeared because the API key entered in the plugin belongs to a different WordPress.com user account.

    * Have the owner of the API key visit this page and add you to the blog, or
    * Get your API key here, then deactivate and activating the plugin and enter your key to add your account to the access list for this blog.”

If I need to do this then how do I deactivate the stats plugin?

After replacing a few files I’ve managed to fully upgrade. But I’m still told I’m “not a member” when trying to view stats.

    Any ideas?
